I love photography as well. This semester we studied architectural photography and audio portraitures. Both assignments were fun but I liked the architectural one more, found you could be more creative being outside of a classroom or studio. I got to try different settings, effects, and angles.
ARCHITECTURAL PHOTOGRAPHY
For our architectural assignment, we had 13 pictures to shoot overall, each showing different themes. I personally picked these pictures to share because I think it is one of the best that I took for this assignment. My pictures were taken with a Nikon at the Odessa creek. I picked the creek to do my photos because it's my favorite place in Odessa where you can go and just relax and enjoy your surroundings. After taking these pictures, I uploaded them using a card reader to the IMAC. Once on computer we could edited or enhance some of our top photos using Adobe Photoshop. On this photo I started out with cropping and sharpened it bait. I also used the tools auto colour, auto contrast, and auto level. Last final touch ups I increased contrast and highlights.
HEADSHOT
HEADSHOT
My head shot I took is of Eve. For the head shots we got to use to studio. We used a Nikon camera hooked up to a flash unit with umbrella reflector. We had the flash at a 45 degree angle from the model, and a back light. We also used a fill suppressor to reflect the light off the background. Our head shots were to be creative but professional and still show our personality. We used cool angles, creative framing and cropping, and a sharp classy background.I used Adobe Photoshop again to sharpen it, do auto level and contrast, and increase contrast and highlights. Also had to erase background and add in a black layer to make the background black. I patiently and carefully erased in and around the model and her hair.
